Xestur A Coruña belongs to the organizational model of Instituto Galego de Vivenda e Solo (IGVS) gives Conselleria de Vivenda e Solo, forming an operating unit of decentralizing the management production.
It is a public company in the Autonomous Community of Galicia, formed in the legal form of joint stock company in 1981, and in which the Consellería de Vivenda e Solo, through IGVS, the Consellería de Economía e Facenda and the Diputación Provincial de A Coruña.
The activity of A Coruna Xestur is aimed at the promotion and business management land, and construction of residential buildings in territory of A Coruña province, with the aim of ensuring the use of land in accordance with the general interest.
Its main objectives are:
- The development of urban studies, including the drafting of management plans and development projects, as well as the initiative for processing and approval it.
- The acquisition of land and the exercise of urban activity, aimed at preparing the ground by carrying out infrastructure works, urban development and provision of services to its proper equipment, as well as any other action required for the implementation of urban planning.
- Buildings promote action aimed at the realization of buildings and facilities designed to accommodate industries and homes, including those subject to any scheme of public protection.
- The management and exploitation works and services resulting from urbanization, for obtaining the grant, according to the rules applicable to each case.
- Any other activity in connection with the preparation of studies, drafting and management plans, execution, acquisition, sale, barter and sale for payment of land, equipment and housing, management and exploitation of works and services and any otherwise it deems necessary, within the limits established by the applicable law of the Autonomous Community of Galicia and the rest of the legal system.
